Walking Away

Sometimes walking away may be the smart thing to do, however, I always trust the process. I just go with it and see what happens. What happened?

This painting was sitting in my studio for a couple of weeks. When I would glance her way, she felt unfinished. Finally, I gave in. This is where the process took me. Actually, it became almost funny at times.

Looking back, there was nothing wrong with the initial painting. I thought she looked sad. Then, I gave her a makeover, adding hair extensions and tribal markings. After that, I just covered it all up and started over. Now, she has a new beaded necklace and neck rings. At the end of the day, it was a learning experience. Looking at her now I’m wondering. Does she look a little Michael Jacksonish?
